About This Course

This comprehensive training programme is designed to equip educators, caregivers, and professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to support children and youth who have experienced developmental trauma. The course consists of three in-depth modules delivered through live online sessions, focusing on critical aspects of understanding and addressing the complex impacts of trauma.

Modules 2 and 3 expand on the foundational knowledge provided in Module 1 and consist of two additional 90-minute online sessions.

Together, these modules offer practical strategies to promote healing, resilience, and positive development in trauma-affected children and youth.

People Who Have Taken Our Course

Read What Our Participants Have to Say About Their Experiences With Our Course
Louisa, Teacher
I love how we get to understand the reasons for things we have experienced in the classroom and how it all starts to make sense. This training gives us so many tools to improve our teaching skills and our time with the students.
Fahren, Social and Community Services
I really enjoyed the story telling. It was very informative with great detail.
Bronwyn, OSCAR
The information was easy to understand and then relate to our mahi context. I liked the part of the self-regulation that stated that the 'energy should match the task'. This helped widen my understanding of regulation as we often think of it as calming someone down.
Benjamin, Teacher
I really liked how this course broke down the importance of the relationships we have during infancy. It covered each scenario and discussed how these variables can affect development in different ways and lead to a variety of outcomes. It also focused a lot on how teachers' behavior can affect both relationships and the overall atmosphere of a classroom. There was significant emphasis on how a teacher’s own mental health plays an important role.
